I like to ride my Harley and I love Greece, especially Crete, so I traveled there for five weeks. Six days by Motorbike and ships from the north of Germany to one of the southern tip of Europe.
2016 I took a small travel-guitar but it wasn’t the same. It was not easy to tune and the sound of the small body was even “small”.
2017 I bought a Voyage Air VAMD-02. I changed the Inlay from the bridge from plastic to bone and I took stronger strings so the bass-sound becomes better. I wondered the volume by picking, “she’s” very loud although she has a light and small body. She’s very easy to play and stays in tune, makes a lot of fun.
I took the VA on top of my luggage, it was a really high tower. In Germany it rains very much so I must put the case in a plastic sack to make it water prove. After 2000 km over land and 1600 km over sea (3 nights on two ferry-boats) I arrived the south of Crete.
I lived in my tent a few weeks. And when I came from the tavern in the evening after a good meal and some beer or wine I took my guitar and played some songs. There were many stars to see or the full moon, some nights were very warm. And with just some more wine I could play and sing better and better. It’s amazing.
We had a lot of fun, my VA and me. And next Year we want to go there again – together.
Best wishes,
Wolfgang
I speak at a lot of conferences throughout the U.S. and my guitar always comes with me.
Most people hate waiting at airports. I love it because it’s just more practice time for me.
This picture was taken at the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis conference in Daytona Beach Florida.
Thanks for making a travel guitar that is such a joy to play that it has become my primary guitar!

Flew here effortlessly from Quebec Canada to Goa India. Here’s a few photos as promised. More to come. Still loving the guitar.
Once I sell off some of my more expensive instruments (I’m retired …) I’ll be getting my grandson a Voyage Air Guitar. He’s 20 and turning into a real guitar player. He loves my guitar but can’t play it because I’m a lefty. Bummer for him! He bought himself a cheap one in Goa so that we can play together here.
Sincerely,
Gerry Griffin
We just returned from a band tour in Ireland. Our band is called “Mala & FyrMoon” from Switzerland.
I must say I’m really happy with the guitar!

A pic of me (Stefan) with the guitar, at Sunflower Folk Club in Belfast. | Another one with Mala playing it, at the Cobblestone in Dublin.
Well here is my travel story. My name is Craig Caffall and I play lead guitar for Maria Muldaur (Midnight At The Oasis, circ.1974) for the past 13 years. I used to take a pair of Les Pauls on the road when we would do fly-aways over seas but was always scared that they would become damaged.
Then about four years ago I discovered Voyage Air guitars through a friend of mine while touring the southwest. Well when I got home I went to your web site and ordered two guitars from you. An acoustic VAD-04 SN and an
electric Bel Air VER-1. I really love the P-90 pickups on the VER-1 and I love the fact that it folds into an almost brief case size case.
We just played the Basel Blues Festival in Switzerland and people were amazed by the tone of the VER-1. Sorry you discontinued the model but really glad I have one to travel with. I even use it in the studio.
I have attached a video of us from the Blues Alive Festival in Sumperk, Czech Republic.
I have a new solo album (CD) coming out very soon and I used both the VAD-04 and the VER-1 on the album and added a thank you to Voyage Air guitars.
So THANK YOU for making wonderful instruments.
Musically, Craig Caffall
