Johnny Waco
Johnny Waco has performed since the early 1970’s in virtually every musical genre, but his favorite types of music to play are Gospel, Bluegrass, and Country. And whether he is doing a solo gospel set or playing with the Lost Highway Band, you’re likely to find him playing his Voyage Air VAD-1 Mahogany Dreadnought.
A noted guitar collector, he retired his 1941 D-18, his 1938 D-28, and his D-45 (which previously belonged to Johnny Cash) when he got his Voyage Air. He says, “each of my guitars has a unique voice, but my Voyage Air is the equal of any of my best guitars in terms of sound and playability — and in terms of convenience and portability it is unsurpassed. But I didn’t buy it because it folds –I bought it for its tone”.
