Robert David Hall plays the chief medical examiner ‘Dr. Albert Robbins’ on CBS TV’S “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” now in it’s 12th season.   A double leg amputee and a devoted community activist, he is one of the most prominent disabled actors working today. Fortunately for his fans, Halls musical output doesn’t end with CSI’s fictional band ‘Dr. Robbins and the Decomps.’ His debut album, Things They Don’t Teach You in School contains songs written over the past 30+ years and it explores a wide range of rich American musical traditions like blues, county, jazz and rock n roll.  One of his greatest thrills was when he performed two of his songs at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on The Grand Ole Opry. Fans of NBC’s The Office know Creed Bratton best as the disturbingly hilarious television personality by the same name. What most do not know is that not only has he been acting since the late 60s in films such as Mask and Heart Like a Wheel, he’s a bona fide legendary rocker and founding member of classic American rock band The Grass Roots – makers of hits such as “Let’s Live for Today” and “Temptation Eyes”.

After leaving The Grass Roots and a 30 year musical hiatus, Bratton released three albums of his own between 2001 and 2002.  Since joining the cast of The Office, Bratton has since released an additional set of solo albums – 2008’s Creed Bratton and 2010’s Bounce Back.

Even with his busy acting schedule on The Office and films such as I Am Ben and The Ghastly Love of Johnny X, Bratton remains very active in music, recording, and occasional live performances.

Joshua Smith has shared the stage with many greats such as PRINCE, Anna Nalick (hit song, “Breathe(2am)”), The Tokens (“The Lion Sleeps Tonight”), Sam Bradley (featured in Twilight sountrack), Deron Johnson (Miles Davis, Seal, Alanis Morissette, Stanley Clark), Gary Novak (Chick Corea, Allan Holdsworth, Robben Ford), Chris Pierce (KCRW, BB King), The Northstar Session (NBC’s Parenthood), Lelia Broussard (featured Rolling Stone top 8 indie artist for cover).

Josh dedicates his work and life to good causes. A Nashville, TN native, he began writing songs at the age of 12. His writing is heavily influenced by his belief in the power of voice as a tool for global awareness, and a family with a strong support of creativity. “Mom and I would sing a lot together, and the whole family would join in with us at our big family reunions.  My great grandmother was a Jazz and Opera singer, so I grew up on old jazz standards – and my grandfather on my Dad’s side was a classical composer and teacher.”  In 2006, living in a church, working for, and leading relief teams on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina helped him further hone in on the development of his gifts in songwriting and singing. Josh is also a gifted painter, illustrator, actor, voice over actor, and writer. By viewing his talents as a call to action in the spirit of service to others, Josh seeks to guide humanity’s collective attention to the value of helping and healing our common family through art, music, and all creative expression.

“Home on the Road”  – a project created by Joshus Smith, and developed by Josh, David Tayar (director), and others from Apocalypse Pictures, True Source Entertainment, Home and Community Inc., Notebook Entertainment, and Play it Forward Productions. “We aren’t just making music, or a documentary about ‘homelessness’… People are tired of homeless documentaries! We’re trying to create something that will inspire people, empower people, and give them opportunities to do something great in their own community.”
– Josh Smith

This from a “Martin Guitar” fan and player for many years. “I have used Martin Guitars for touring and recording for many years.  I have to admit that the Voyage-Air has been an outstanding replacement and the carry-on design has made airline travel much less stressful“

AJ, Voyage-Air – on tour with Pop-Symphony Orchestras

A few years ago I started using Voyage-Air guitars on tour with Pop-Symphony Orchestras.

Our show is touring Nationally and Internationally with Pop’s conductor, Michael Krajewski.

It’s been a true honor to perform center stage with the Philly Pops, The Cleveland Orchestra, Atlanta, Houston, Toronto, Edmonton and many others.  It’s also a true testament to the sound of my Voyage-Air considering the quality, price and sound of these orchestral instruments on stage.

The Voyage-Air guitar is also my main instrument for performing with my original music partner Jayne Kelli. Our songwriting duo,“Swearingen & Kelli”, is touring venues and opera houses across the US. Below includes our song “Realize”, performed with my Voyage-Air.

Swearingen & Kelli

Swearingen & Kelli’s self-titled debut album is the blending of AJ Swearingen and Jayne Kelli’s unique artistry.

Known for their rich and silky vocals, this folk-pop duo is a powerful songwriting union. They’ve been performing their signature sound in theaters and opera houses across the United States with a style that echoes the great songwriter’s of the past.

Folk icon Tom Rush recorded one of Swearingen’s tunes, “You’re Not Here With Me”, on his latest album. This song is also included on Swearingen & Kelli’s highly anticipated debut album.

Swearingen & Kelli deliver an undeniable chemistry with their unfiltered, from the heart songwriting and performing.

In the video below, he performs “Realize” from his latest CD “A Straight Line.”
