As a DIY artist, Jason Luckett began his career busking across Europe.  He’s gone on to play colleges, clubs and festivals, sharing the stage or studio with artists as diverse as the Indigo Girls, Melissa Etheridge, Kenny Burrell, Tracy Chapman, and members of Bauhaus, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ozomatli.  Influenced by bossa nova, the Beatles, Curtis Mayfield and Billy Bragg, Jason’s created a unique brand of groovy acoustic soul incorporating jazz voicings and an eclectic rhythmic palette.  He’s released eight CDs in addition to composing for film and television.  He’s also a published poet and essayist.
